TUSKEGEE AIRMEN History
The Tuskegee Airmen are true international heroes. Trained at the famous Tuskegee Army-Air Field in Tuskegee, Alabama, they fought segregation in the military with excellence of service and superior accomplishments for military achievements. They have been decorated by nations throughout the world and celebrated by people everywhere.
After World War II, they transitioned into family and business life throughout the world, keeping the precious memories of military glory alive through tales to their family and occasional speaking engagements. It wasn't until the movie the "Tuskegee Airmen" by HBO, and then the blockbuster "Red Tails" by George Lucas that they began to receive the rightful acclaim and honor due their achievements. This will attempt to help tell their story to more people and prove that excellence in service can overcome many barriers, even as insurmountable as segregation. Tuskegee Airmen National Museum
